Africa Product Marketing Manager

For one of our key clients – a global leader in mobile heavy equipment – we are looking for an experienced Africa Product Marketing Manager to support the growth of its Construction & Mining business across the African continent.

📍 Location: Brussels, Belgium

🌍 Scope: Africa (frequent travel required)

🎯 Role Overview

You will play a strategic role in driving product marketing initiatives across Africa, aligning product offerings with market needs, and supporting business expansion in a highly competitive environment.

This position combines market analysis, product strategy, and project leadership, with strong exposure to international teams and field operations.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Market Intelligence & Analysis

• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape across African regions
• Leverage data (pricing, utilization, fleet, quality) to identify growth opportunities
• Conduct field visits and engage with distributors and customers

Product Strategy & Planning

• Define mid-term product priorities (3–5 years) for African markets
• Develop product concepts (features, pricing, target customers, profitability)
• Collaborate with global product planning, R&D, and manufacturing teams

Product Management

• Adapt product specifications to local market requirements
• Support distributors during sales cycles with product expertise
• Manage product lifecycle (updates, discontinuation, alternatives)

Project Leadership

• Lead market introduction and expansion of key equipment models
• Support deployment of innovative solutions (e.g. hybrid, digital technologies)
• Drive go-to-market strategies and product launches

🤝 Stakeholder Interaction

• Internal: Marketing, Product Development, Sales, Aftermarket, Strategy teams
• External: Dealers across Africa, key customers, partners

👤 Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experiencei in construction or mining equipment (OEM or distributor/dealer)
• Strong product marketing / product management background (MINING OR CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT)
• Experience working in or with African markets is highly desirable
• Solid technical understanding of heavy equipment
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Fluency in both English and French is mandatory
• Hands-on, and comfortable working in multicultural and field-oriented environments
